Mr Wensley is a proven leader with 30+ years experience in the metals and minerals industry, including R&D, strategy formulation, finance, sales, marketing and trading, large scale capital projects, radical asset turnaround/business improvement, M&A and divestments. Mr Wensley began his career at Kobe Steel Ltd. Japan in coal chemistry R&D and major projects and spent 20 years with Rio Tinto in operational, project and leadership roles working in iron ore, copper, industrial minerals, bauxite, alumina, coal and uranium. Mr Wensley Chaired the Board of Queensland Alumina Ltd and served on the Boards of Rio Tinto Marketing Pte. (Singapore), Rössing Uranium Ltd. (Namibia) and Riversdale Coal entities (Mozambique). Mr Wensley is an Oxford University honors graduate in Chemistry and holds a MBA from INSEAD. He is a graduate of the AICD and an advanced exponent of ENS negotiation techniques.
Mitchell Petrie is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce. He has significant experience in corporate governance, risk management and assurance. A former Partner of KPMG where he led the Queensland Risk Advisory practice. His clients included many leading national and global participants in the Resource Industry, including leadership of the co-sourced assurance services team to Rio Tinto. Mitchell is currently a Director of a number of public and private sector companies, a member of several Local Government audit committees and formerly Chair of UNESCO’s audit committee.
After 12 months with Metro Mining as General Manager-Commercial, Mr Quinlin has taken up the role of Chief Financial Officer to lead the Finance and Commercial teams.
Mr Quinlin has been instrumental in the commercial transformation of the business and brings significant experience in financial reporting, capital projects and cost optimisation.
Prior to joining Metro, Mr Quinlin spent almost 10 years with Ernst & Young working with tier one, ASX and NYSE listed resources clients. He subsequently spent 4 years with Glencore as Commercial and Finance Manager, CSA mine, leading a large team dealing with finance, risk management, life of mine planning, procurement, IT and contractor relationships.
Nathan is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce.
